pixelmed-apps software package provides DICOM implementation containing Image Viewer and a ECG Viewer - jnlp, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install pixelmed-apps
pixelmed-apps is installed in your system.
Make ensure the pixelmed-apps package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep pixelmed-apps *
You will get with pixelmed-apps package name, version, architecture and description in a table
